Just in case no one has already mentioned this yet, you should mask off as much of your car as possible especially when if it's windy out. I spent 4 hours yesterday removing little specs of sprayback..

where have i heard this before..... ?? :ugh2: :icon17:

I did handles with them on the car. I'm happy with the way they look.

Got some pictures today, even though the car is dirty. I took a close-up of the fangs to show how clean of a line I was able to get from the tape job. Just take your time when taping, and use a razor blade or something similar to score the hardened Plasti-dip when you're ready to peel the tape off, otherwise it will try to peel away from the car as well. Rear valence is next!

Looks great My_third_Z! Nice job! How much did you end up by using anyways?

wilsonp 08-15-2011 09:51 PM

When you did the handles, did you have to cut lines so it would open once dry?

I did three or four coats on all of those pieces, and that took less than one can total.

Nope. There is enough of a gap that you're good. I just took my time and did 6-7 lite coats. But just like any paint project take your time and you'll be good.

That came out beautiful.

So...is there any issue in leaving this stuff on for several years? I definitely will pick this up and do my emblems, now I am thinking about doing the fangs/sidemarkers as well.

Is there any issue with washing your car the next day after you put it on?
