Plasti-dip'd front fangs and rear exhaust panel
Hey guys, i am new to this-
Just got my 09 Brilliant Silver Z for a grand total of 25,500 The first day i got it i was already thinking of changes. I originally wanted BLACK but in the Scottsdale heat i would melt. I installed my Pioneer Avicf900bt into the car- Check it out Unfortunately the stock speakers are pathetic and i need to get a new audio system in here but the NAV does help with clarity. Any suggestions on speakers? My next move is purchasing an exhuast. I just ordered the AAM Short Tails! The will be installed later this week. Awaiting the arrival of the pipes i decided to plasti-dip a couple of panels.. I had never heard of this stuff until i looked on here. Its a little difficult to use but once you exact-o knife the edges, you're good. Here are my pictures Future Mods- New Speakers Air Intake New Wheels- (Why do the stock wheels spin out and traction control goes on after turning at 30+ mph.. Car takes turns like a babyass- Wheel recommendations?) Alarm +Remote Start Rear Spoiler Thanks guys If anyone is in PHOENIX AZ let me know! how is that not good... a base sticker price is about 30k , if that is after taxes. etc. I think that is a good deal....
And your mods so far are great.... I am no audiofile but I got Polk components db6501 or something close to that model number, lol, for just over 100 on ebay and it made a huge improvement to the highs... I than added a 6.5 bazooka bass tube that fits perfectly in the hatch cabin above your spare, and you lose zero trunk space! My system now sounds like an above average good stock system... I have not amplified my interior speakers yet but I will soon... good luck the rest of the way!

Curious to see how the plasti dip holds up on the valence. I'd think exhaust hear will cause problems. |

How does the plasti-dip look on the fang blackout ? Does it make the fangs seem like they're painted or like something is stuck on top of them ?. I cannot see it from the photos.

Hmmm, is it just me..or do the plasti dip paint jobs (in general) look a little mottled? The OP's look pretty good from what I can see, but the lighting isn't real good either. I'm trying to evaluate this stuff for myself, and don't want to waste my time if it does.

The Plasti-dip is holding up really well-surprisingly.
I did three layers- Waited a few days- Did a couple more layers to even it all out and I was golden. It makes the front look the GTR or EVO.. As far as the price goes, I am happy with it. Payments are like $250 a month- Cant beat that for the amount of fun that I have in my Z. I am having some stereo problems since I am slowly adding aftermarket parts. |
