Aftermarket NAVI in cubby instead Nissan NAVI?

Is possible to get Aftermarket navi there? Have installed my oldie DNX5220BT with Metra dash kit and look forward to install it in cubby. Have anyone done that?

I ordered my 10 convertible without the factory nav,,, I just thought it was too expensive, so when I took delivery of my car, I had a local shop install and hardwire a garmin nuvi in the cubby... I dont get lost very often but when I do need one, its there.. just close the cover and no one knows its there.. works perfectly.

Folks have done this, but usually it takes a monitor and a separate AV controller. The cubby area is just too shallow for a full DD HU. Others have installed a full DD in the standard location and driven an additional LCD installed in the cubby.

Yah kholy, that looks sick! Nice job!

A friend of mine was talking about wanting to cut the back out of the cubby so he could get it fiberglassed and keep his firearm in it. We're wondering how much clearance there is behind there.

Default Custom NAVI installed in cubby on 2011

Hey buddy..this is what i did to mine and it looks pretty good..I posted more details in the DIY SECTION on how i did it...I think mine looks like one of the better jobs that imitates the factory look..I spent around $1000 for the compenents and some trial and error and scratching my head but it can be done and look good..Brian
