Here's another perspective if you need it, I think this is really the best way to tie the A pillars into the rest of the car. What do you mean by making it equal with the windshield?

Here is more what I am talking about. I redid it. I'm not pleased with it, and will refine it more tomorrow. Thanks for the ideas though. That headlight one is just too much for me.

Again, I didn't do a 100% job.

I'm not so sure about that one. It just doesn't look right. I think christian's way is really the only way to do it and make it look clean.

OT: I miss all that Spanish Moss from when I used to live on the coast in SC!

Ah, I see. Keeping it in line with the windshield makes it look much nicer from the front. How easy was the plasti-dip to remove?

SeeyaBud86 07-31-2011 06:12 PM

It just peels off after it drys. Real easy. It can leave some spray left underneath and on the car, but wd-40 takes it right off. I just wash it then polish the area to make it perfect.

I will redo it tomorrow and make it look more natural. In even think about tucking it under the side mirrors. Making it look like one big blacked out windshield area. I will find a way to make this work =p.

Also, when I do get it painted after I find the exact way I want it done, it will be done in a gloss black. So it won't stand out as much.

I think that looks great cut off at the base.

It's getting closer.

Thats the same take I posted earlier also, make it shorter to flow with the front; I like this second take

Thanks. I'm going to play with it a little tomorrow.

I agree, the second is closer but a little more upsweep toward the mirror or continuing the hood/windshield line would improve the side view while keeping the front looking good.

If you painted the roof, you'd have the early NSX look - fighter canopy :)

:iagree: just needs to match the curve and contour with the bottom of the winshield to the very front tip of the a-pillar to make it fluid.

(but not for me. :icon17: )

I dig it!
