Plastic dip-emblem cover up

I was watching a video on how this process works WOW.
Its very easy to use and will peel off if not wanted. Now you can cover up the front and rear and side emblems without having to remove them. I like my cars without emblems so I can have people say what the Hell was that.
Anybody into this product?
I,am doing my Z this way soon and will post pics..

A couple guys in MD used this on their Z's. Ask b1adesofcha0s how it's working out for him. I wouldn't know, as I haven't seen his car since he used the product. It's only been a week or two.

i wonder if it would be possible to do this with the fangs and rear valenance?

Check out my thread in the Mid-A section:

Three of us in the Mid-A have done it to our Z's recently. The fangs and valence were really easy to do - the roof was somewhat of a challenge because of the larger surface area to get an even spray down. Click link for pics!

Also, if you want to see a video of me peeling it off my Z showing how it doesn't damage the paint PM me your email and I can forward you the vid it is in .MOV format.

A member did his fang with this and was able to remove it with no problems. Good product.

What about covering part of the hood and bumper before a cross country drive? How easy does it come off?

dudesky 07-28-2011 10:26 AM

have a question guys. before plasti dip, no sanding right? (yea..if I sanded I wouldn't use plasti dip LOL) and even after you don't clear coat on plasti dip right? (if I clear coat on plasti dip, I guess it will mess up the plasti dip? or later on when I want to peel off the plasti dip, it won't work since clear coated on top?)

Comes off VERY easy and we were talking about how it would be great for long drives. Look up videos on removing plasti dip on youtube.

No prep work required before plasti dip. We tried to use clear coat for my roof, but it was too hot outside and it left a white residue when it dried. It still comes off but it's a lot more of a PITA to get it off with the clear. I was trying to get a glossy finish on it for my roof, but it didn't work so I took it all off.

I recommend plasti-dip. Just make sure you mask the area off well, and also get some wd-40 to get the spray shards off. Those get into your paint but are taken right off with wd-40.
