How can I get this done to my Seibon hood?
Any decent body shop can do it....there is an additive u put in the clearcoat when u mix it....the clear lays down glossy but as it dries it turns matte. Its kind of a pain in the @ss to do sometimes tho, since u cannot wetsand and buff any imperfections like u could a glossy finish. Basically however it lays out thats it.

i am familiar with a matte clear, my 350z has a lot of it.

however i have had many people tell me that you cannot just clear coat over a typical aftermarket "CF" hood... something about how it doesnt adhere properly to a gel coat or something along those lines?

Matte clearcoat is just like glossy clearcoat, all the same just an additive to make it dry dull....I've sprayed my hood, hatch, and every piece in my car with clear...along with a few hundred pieces we've wrapped for people in the past and still do. Just prep it the correct way and all good.
