Now, hearing that the clear coat is pretty pitiful on this car, I wonder if it doesn't make sense to just buy it, drive it to a good detail/paint shop, have it block sanded and re-cleared, then sealed with a good molecular wax. That's probably a $3k job, but it would look awesome afterward, and it would be better protected against crap like this (NPI).
