Getting rid of HVAC odor

I ended up blowing air from my compressor into the drain hole that is on the firewall and uncloggeed the hole when a blob of crude came out with a good bit of water behind it. Then i would recommend running the heater to dry it out a bit. Just my two cents hope it helps.
