Any ideas for body kits on my Z? (please read)

I own a silver 09 370z, and i was just wondering if somebody could give me some ideas for body kits, and mods? My spending limit is about $2000 and I want to buy the CF Seibon NSM wing, so anything that would look good with that... Thanks :)

For 2000 dollars, you will not get much for body kits. Anything good will be 5000+++

Why not just buy an exhaust?

JoeZ91 06-11-2011 03:19 PM

I've been thinking about buying an exhaust, but I don't know much about them, and I don't want to spend a ton of money, and not get the sound I'm looking for.

Fast Intentions is the best exhaust out there hands down.
you get to choose between non resonated pipes, 12" resonators and 18"
resonators for different sound levels.
it is also the best performing exhaust. This thing sounds amazing.

I suggest you not buy a kit then...you'd need to commit to at least $5k with paint and possible fitment fixes...Im quoted the loooow end.

You buy a POS replica kit or some gaudy kit for $2k youll ruin your 370.

Get a set of varrasteon rims with tires used and a set of used springs. Go to the private sale section here or my350z dot com or g35driver dot com for great sales of items.

Your obviously going for looks more then anything. Iv been on every end of buying exterior mods, good and very bad. YOU WANT QUALITY PARTS

If you dont know much about exhausts or any mods for that matter just hang around the forums and read threads.

You speak of "POS replica kit". But you mention getting Varraston wheels that are replicas. Not saying there a ''POS". But thought is was kind of ironic.

$2k is plenty for a lip kit. Heck, if you get it in CF you don't need to paint it, but you may want to prep it. That's what I missed, but oh well... still looks good and will take punishment from rocks and gravel.

Ok, I've got to ask...why do you consider replica kits to be POS? A number of people really favor the Shine Auto kit (Sunline replica) and have never had a poor word to say about them. In fact, I'm thinking that the Shine Auto kit is going to be the one I choose to put on mine.

Since you are putting a wing on the back and your budget is limited, you should focus on the front of the car. I personally like the Fujimura front bumper kit the most. Don't support replicas and buy the real thing.

I know I'm not the OP (and please forgive the thread jack), but what's wrong with replicas? Is your standpoint related to the original R&D that went into the kit? If so I can completely respect that view, but if it's for quality and/or fitment issues please discuss. :)

SPOHN 06-12-2011 07:01 AM

Yea I agree. There really isn't any bad replica kits out there. I'd buy anyone of them right now.

For kits POS means fitment issues out the wazoo...as for rims...well you got me there...

My problm with replicas is not about quality or fitment, but about stealing someone elses design.

Yes, it'll fit.

FYI, I've been PMing a number of members on this forum that have various Shine Auto bits and pieces to determine their fitment quality, so hopefully I should have some feedback today.
