Nope. I have done it on a few cars and one of the best investments I have made. Just picked up a new 370 and it's the first thing I am having done to the car. Not cheap but well worth it.

I didn't have Clear bra installed on my car, but IMO whether or not you need it depends on what you want with the car and how/where you use it. If you DD the car and/or drive on some roads where there are a lot of little rocks and pebbles flying around, it is more likely to get rock chips. The clear bra will definitely help, but it will not protect against everything. Some of the bigger and harder hitting rocks will still go through it, requiring you to replace it. If you don't DD the car and want it to remain in perfect condition, then go for it.

My car is a DD and gets hit by rocks a lot on my commute, so I didn't do the clear bra. I thought it would be a lot cheaper to just eventually repaint the bumper or even get a new one than to clear bra everything.

I hope this info helped and good luck

I was upset the last shop that did the clear bra cut out piece by piece and "stitched" them together, so there were lines and gaps all over the place. It was just ugly.

Then I had another shop do the clear bra, and it appears they had the precut pieces. It looks amazing and I can't tell it's there.

I can't imagine why someone would want to put a clear
peice of pastic on their car leaving a line across the front

waste of money, i like that my front bumper and hood have thousands of "war" scars.

looks meaner, plus the car is lighter b/c so much of it has been chipped away.

Worth it, I don't care for the line across the hood/fender but thats better than hundreds of rock chips.

Next time I get a clear bra I'll have them wrap the entire hood.
