I like clearbra, except I had a really bad scratch repaired, so I had to have the front removed. I'll be re-applying after the paint sets up front, but for now I'm vulnerable.

ive had mine for over a year and i like that my car is still free of any rock chips. The bad part is that the clear bra is all swirled up.
Im thinking about taking it off when the car is two years old, making my car will look 2 years younger :P |

I had my CB installed through the Dealer (Big Mistake, I know.. Moving on) And here are my complaints:
1. I paid $1k for it (Could have gotten it for half that at a CB dealer) What I wanted covered: Front Bumper, Hood, Fenders, Mirrors. What I got covered: Front Bumper, First 1/3 of Hood, 1/2 of Mirrors, and 6" of Fenders. None of the pieces go over the edges of the panels or cover the whole part. 2. It looks like ****. No seriously, you can CLEARLY see the edges, even with a good wash/waxing. 3. They must have sent it to Julio's Clear Bra shop because I can see that they didn't even wash the car prior to installing it. There is debris actually trapped UNDER the damn CB. 4. Again, it wasn't what I wanted done and looked like crap, and over priced. Now I'm worried that since it's been on the car so long, if I try to have it removed/replaced... the paint fade might make it look like crap if I have the whole parts covered again. Or if it will rip off the clearcoat...

my friend had the whole front end of his nismo 350 CB'd back when he first got it. they did the entire hood, both front fenders, mirrors, front clip, and a-pillars (all the way back to the hatch since they are one piece). it wasn't cheap but there aren't any lines on it at all and it's hard to see that it's there. having said that, it bubbled up a little in a couple places that were not fixable without replacement. also, along the bottom edge of the front bumper there are couple places where it wrinkled up slightly. the guy tried to correct this and it helped a little but you can still see where the wrinkles were. you can kind of see them along the bottom edge of the red, right where it changes to gray on the front bumper here:
notice you don't see any lines (and yes, they would show up if the entire section wasn't done)

I'm not happy with mine, however mine wasn't a choice, it came without he car.
On black it stands out like a sore thumb. Some idiot got wax in the line and I get asked all the time about the "scratch" in my hood. I'm peeling mine off my hood and fenders when I get the time, but I'll prolly knave it on the bumper. |

I've been told it's a bad idea to peel it off yourself. And it's a bad idea to peel it off all together, is this true? Will it really eff up your clearcoat/paint?

The idea of putting a semi permanent vinyl over top paint to protect paint that will never see sunlight because it's under vinyl is the most retarded thing in the world in my head. You can buff/touchup/repaint chips easily. But when the clearbra gets nicks in it it looks way worse and is uncorrectable |
