I hate engineers so I will stir the pot lol. First off at the current moment I am a MH-60S mechanic. Bill should be familiar with that helicopter since he works for the company that makes it. First off engineers like to design **** that is a utter pain in the *** to do and then they make it a routine thing to do. Example bill on a MH-60S the number 2 cross feed breakaway valve on a block II or three. Because some brainiac decided to put the utility reservoir in the oil cooler/axial fan section. Like there isn't enough room in the hyd bay/main rotor pylon for it:ugh2: Every time I do that damn job I just want to go Punch the person in the face who designed it. If they had to actually do the work it would be changed in a heart beat.

Phel glade to see you work for Honeywell and as a engineer. For the love of god please redesign your damn starter for the t700-ge-401C engine because I am tired as hell of replacing them because if you look at them wrong the shaft sheers. Done ranting. still love you guys :happydance:

Yeah, I've been there for three years now and I love it. It's always great meeting a fellow UTC employee. Were I'm at we actually share the building with Pratt. Were not aloud to interact though lol. If a Sikorsky employee is caught in Pratt territory or vice versa it's grounds for immediate dismissal. Rather harsh for being owned by the same corporation lol.

I couldn't agree more lol. It's clear that a lot of our engineers were never mechanics at any point in their lives lol. Although the idea will look great on paper they don't neccessarly take all the factors into consdieration. Especially on the aircraft I'm building now. I'm up there everyday with them going over installs that either need to be resequenced in the build or just altered overall due to fitment issues. I been on the H-92 since I started there but I have some experience on the M's and L's. We build the S models up in Stratford CT, but I spent 6 months up there on the road and got to play around on them for a little. You could definitely tell it was designed 30 years ago lol.

We'll get right on that when we get some funding :p

And I really do find it mildly amusing that some engineers have little to no manufacturing experience whatsoever. I'm the only one in the group who has welded or used ANY of the tools in the machine shop. So mine all work and I promise you won't tear your hair out on components I design...most of the time:)

 Can you guys go make an Uber-nerd thread so we can keep this thread about the best kit out for the Z :rofl2: :gtfo2:
