I even unhooked the battry to try to restart it that didn't work

You need to reset the window. Turn car to "ON" then hold down the window switch for 15 seconds. Then pull up and hold it for 15 seconds. After that they should work normally again

Sounds like you might of accidentally disconnected one of the connectors. Check the connector at the window switch and the motor.

Just do the window reset. If you unplug he switch box on the door it looses memory. No big deal. Just hold down switch 5sec after u roll down then roll all the way up and hold 5 sec. Done.

No the window wont roll up or down. I have had to do the memory thing a couple times its not that. It's only the drivers side switch window. All the other windows work its just that 1 button for the drivers window

This may or may not help, but have you tried the resetting stops with the door closed? I had a similar thing happen and I tried all these steps with the door open, and no dice. When I closed the door and tried the same, it worked for some reason.

For the window reset to work the door must be closed, otherwise it can't find the limit of the door frame. But in order for a window reset to work you have to be able to move the window!

Well, when I did it, my window was completely down, so I just as much assumed it couldn't move.

I hate when I have to disconnect my battery and I have to reset the windows. Such a PITA.

I am confused when you say the resetting stops? What is this process? Remember my window is down and will not go up.

Nissan said the switch is burned out. $350 dollar part! under warrenty thank god!

ChrisSlicks 05-28-2011 07:36 AM

About $220 for the driver switch, the rest is dealer retail markup. Should of played with the passenger side, that switch is only $90 :) But glad you're getting it fixed.

how the hell did you manage to burnout the switch? :icon14:
