seats
I have read all the threads about seats....however I have not read of anyone actually getting bigger seats or even possibly modifying the stock seats.
I may have missed it but I searched it just about every way I could think of... The seats are not bad, but I have to sit a certain way for the metal on the bottom to not dig into my legs. I am 6"1 and about 220... |

well i have the cloth seats...and if you feel down around mid thigh area, the sides of the seats (assuming the framing) is metal or really hard plastic....
yah, there is metal down there.
run a quick search 'sparco' 'bride' and you should see the threads people've done with swapping out to aftermarket seats. |
are they a lot wider on the bottom?
not sure about wider but they talk about aftermarket seats. you'll have to try out the seats you like and get the rails for them.
I'm 6'1 and about 210 and the cloth seats are a bit snug on me. Not bod, but a little tight.
are you thinking of changing them? It isn't that the seat is too snug...it is just that damn metal...almost like the padding is just too thin in that spot.
I'm 6'4" 250lbs I know exactly what your talking about. Check out the Sparco evo3, there is a thread here where someone has one installed.
so those are bigger huh? Thanks for the information.
Check out Corbeau also. The A4 wides look pretty good. Maybe not as well built as the others, but cheaper..
thanks man...the sparco's look like they are a little too wide for the car...not for me though lol...I will look and see on the corbeau's also.

I was reading the thread and it looked like they were a little big, is that right? Or do they fit in there just right?
what about just putting some seat covers over the stock seats to make more padding? Anyone tried this method?
I read the thread on the leather seat covers that just go over the cloth, and then the padding there would be at least double...I would think that would help with making the seat more comfortable. |
