I believe I read in modshacks diy he had a issue with the back of the hood being slightly up b/c of the black covers, what I'm saying is where I put the ball I don't have that problem.

I tried it with the same front bracket you guys used in the same place you guys put it,and my hood was up a little bit in the back until I relocated the ball.

If you & modshack didn't have a problem then more power to you but if you read above SPOHN has the same front bracket as you and is relocating it to where I put mine hence "correcting other people's work".

Hey guys I make these for guys here around the area. I fab a mounting bracket that attaches at the hood lift points therefor elimating pressure on the hood. There is no cutting only taking two bolts off where the hood attaches and place this bracket on there and then removing a plastic pop washer in the front of the battery/power steering cover. no cutting or drilling needed. I have a couple of these left over and willing to sell them for 60.00 plus shipping. PM me if interested and I can send you some pics.

Pics loose and installed would be great

Had the ones kenchan did his DIY with but I cannot move the mounting point & drill because I have the password jdm pieces. Since I could not move it my hood started to bulge which then I required me to take off the hood dampers.

I will post some pics tomorrow when I get off work. These should work with the JDM pieces as well. They do not interfere with those pieces. Please pm me and I will make sure you get those pics as well.

Why PM secrecy...? Can't you just post them for everyone to see (who might be interested)?

kellyefields 05-09-2011 07:28 PM

no secret I just want to make sure that those that asked first have first dibs if they choose. I will be posting them in a for sale thread sometime tomorrow evening when I get off work.
