They are already doing rear fog light LED conversions in Japan.

I saw that. MCR is always doing something to their Z. Have you seen the picture where they took apart the whole dash/steering wheels etc? crazy guys!

P.S. Do you see the HKS Camp 2 in the background?

You will, give it some time. If nobody else comes up with an easy kit before I get around to it, I expect I'm going to DIY install it with a switch in the center console between the heated seat switches and post up how to do it. I already know what needs to be done, just need to get parts (switch esp) and get it done.

Yeah the lamp/housing is available, but nothing for wiring the switch up front. I've already tracked down the wiring. If we plug the unit from your link into the existing connector that's hanging unused right by our dummy foglight, the other end of the +12V line comes out as the orange wire plugged into pin 24 of the BCM in the passenger footwell.

Just need to wire that and an ignition-switched +12V line to a physical switch in the center console. I think I'm going to get the dealer to order me a "replacement" heated seat switch to use for it (since it will fit the plastic perfectly), and then try to find a way to change the labeling on it.

The other alternative is someone could dealer-order a Canadian-spec set of wiper/headlight switches and replace that whole unit on the steering wheel, and the odds are high the stock foglight switch on that will just work (seeing as the BCM is wired for it). But it would cost more, and nobody knows if the BCM needs different software or settings via CONSULT or something to enable it.

I called a Canadian dealer today to inquire about the combination switch. This is the wiper and headlight combination sticks, the two of them plus some stuff in the middle comes as all one part, and the canadian version has an extra switch on it for the fog lights. They want approx US$340 for it, the part number he got in Canada from his parts lookup was 25560-1EA0C. $340 is quite a chunk of change to throw down on something that might not work at all. All the wiring appears to be there, but we don't know if the BCM in the US cars has the feature disabled even with the appropriate factory switch and light installed.

Since Nissan probably uses the same size console switches in other models, including the Infiniti lineup, I am more apt to simply using the vacant middle switch slot (in the Touring model) for the rear fog activation. The stalk is obviously better as it is directly related to the lighting functions, but for that amount money better sense prevails.
