That said, I think true blue will look nice on my black Z. I'll probably order it tonight.

If it lights up blue then it mostly likely can get you a ticket. Blue and red are reserved for emergency Vehicles.

In for pics...hopefully.

would I still get a ticket even if I tint them to very very light blue for the headlights?

There's no guarantee of anything. A lot of people get away with 10k HIDs for quite a while with issues. I have a friend who's been running them for 4-5 years without a single issue from the police. And I've gotten stopped for window tint in my Z, when my windows weren't even tinted...just depends on your luck.

oh thanks for the reply
I don't know why you got stopped by the police
for having oem tinted windows..that's just f***ing bs....
anyway wish you a luck! :)

I doubt you'd get pulled over.. I'm thinking just as long it doesn't light up blue, but then again it depends on the officer.

Police are people too. They're all different, and they all have their days, and their triggers. I know one officer that pulls over all sorts of people with HIDs, even if they look factory, since he just hates the lights. He would probably pull you over for the blue tint, whereas most just wouldn't even notice.

You should probably read their site before assuming such things. Just saying :)
Eurolight - Simple Wipe On Headlight Coloring Kit

Q: Will my headlights change colors?
A: Legally no, there is a very slight change of color that should not be noticeable, this was verified by the SAE colorimetric test.

Q: Is Eurolight legal?
A: Yes, according to NHTSA standards using SAE test standards.

I can't see them altering the headlights shade anymore than a 6000k HID bulb would.

update: i got called 2 week ago saying the product was backordered. i havent received anything in the mail yet. :shakes head:

adampetrasek 05-11-2011 11:03 AM

I emailed them over a week ago with a few questions... Never heard anything back. Guess they aren't really interested in selling their products.

Not bad, but definitely check your local laws. Here in Texas the cop/DPS officer has to be able to see your brake lights at 1500' I believe. On my old 350z I did two layers of tint and had no problems but YMMV. I wouldn't bother with the headlights.

Instead I'd paint the housings to get that "blackout" effect and still ride street legal.

ive always wanted to try a yellow tint on my headlight?
