What % tint would make it impossible to see inside the interior on a sunny day?
|
none, even limo tint (5%) can you see thru ever so slightly at the right angle on a suny day.

Going to get tint done tomorrow. I'm thinking 35% on sides and 5% on the back. Eventually I want to vinyl wrap the roof so I want the top of the car to look like one solid piece.
My question is, do you think the 35% will look off compared to the 5% in the back+gloss vinyl wrapped roof? |

It's funny that almost all the 35% tint pix posted here look much darker than what it really is. Maybe it depends on the light and angle. |
20% all around and front strip... sorry for no straight shot of the back, but ill get one if you guys want it.

Yeah darker tint always looks good on SR especially in the sun. :icon17:

30 all around with front window tint and visor strip to make the front window not seem tinted.

Just got 15% all around today. It's pretty dark, but during the day, you can just make out the outline of a person and the interior looking at it from the rear. At night, it looks like limo tint. Windows down or interior lights on when driving around the 5-0!

not a good picture, but all i've got right now http://img820.imageshack.us/img820/7655/t91x.jpg |
any of you tried the pre-cut tints? if so, any recommendations which store(s) to buy from? :)
i ask because i can do overlay, clearbra, and simple tint installs. i dont feel like paying someone (and cleaning up their mess afterwards) to install 2 tiny pieces and one flat hatch piece. :ugh: |

Excellent reference thread.
Loved to be able to have a look at all the different percentages to determine what to go for. Looking at the Colorado Tint laws the max I can go with is 27%. Visited several shops in the neighborhood and got a good price quote at a shop I felt gave me good customer service from the get go. Will be dropping of my 1013 Z on Saturday and should be able to post pics Sunday morning. |
