^i had the metallic tint on my other car and it didn't seem to affect the radar detector... it was the lummar brand

When I got my Z tinted, the stock windows registered 76% on the tint meter.

Any pictures of a 40th with under 20% tint? That's what I have now and would like to see how a darker tint would look.

Yeah look thru the pages. Mine is 15% all around and then the entire windshield is 45%

Nice! I have 20% all around and 55% on the entire windshield. I can't seem to find any good pics of the windows in your albums.

Just dropped mine off at the tint shop a min ago to get mine done. 10% all the way around with the strip on the front windshield! Post pics later

Just tinted my car the other day, came out nice if I don't say so myself. 25% Front / 18% rear. Just the right amount of tint where you can barely see in without impairing visibility looking out.

Just got her on Sunday with it tinted from the dealership 20% all around. It was too light for my liking, so I took her in today to get Llumar 15% put on top of the 20% and did 50% on the windshield. Looks great now!

15% all around and 45% on the entire windshield

Haha both me and my buddy with the Nismo have been rocking tinted windshields since we got the Z's and neither of us have been pulled over. I actually drove to NY, thru Syracuse from FL and was never stopped last August..... As long as you don't drive like an a-hole you'll be alright

i have 5% too. in florida with no problems so far...

5% front strip and back glass.15 on the sides.

I heard a member post that he put a kill switch on his power windows so he could roll them down and kill em.

That way when the cop told him to roll up fur inspection he could say. "Oh my darn windows are not working again. Must be that damn fuse"

He said it keeps him out of ticket troubles.

Just an idea...

And if its raining or possibly snowing?

15% all around, supposedly illegal here in Germany, but military police won't care and german polizei will leave you alone if you have an american specs car.

Debating if I swapped out my backup lights to some super LEDs, then maybe I wouldn't have to roll down my window to back up.

Thanks! Yea, I had 5% on the windows of my Dodge Ram that I traded in for my Z and I loved it! I never had issues backing up or anything. I have a little bit of issues now, but that's mainly just because I have my mirrors adjusted a bit more out then normal to deal with my blind spots and I can't really see lines in parking spots. I was considering replacing the backup lights with some super bright LED's to help with it.

Got my tints done today. 30% Huper Optik all around, minus the windshield. Wish the sun was out today, but its going to be cloudy for the next few days. I'll take pictures when the sun comes out if wanted.
