I got mine done today and will have to take pics later. The guy did a great job. He's been tinting for 25 years. I ended up getting 40% for the rear 3 and 50% for the doors. It's funny, but he took the meter to the door windows and it read 41%. He told me that the laws and technology behind the enforcement is so antiquated that things need to change.

Here's some thoughts on the tint install for our cars:
- My installer put a clamp on the button that turns the interior light on and off, and makes the window go up and down when you open or close the door. This kept the window up during the install. If you were concerned about the dreaded peel, you could somehow rig the button to stay depressed. Duct tape? - My installer removed the top trim from the door to make it easier for him to apply the tint well below the window seal. This was achieved by popping off the trim plate behind the door handle and undoing one bolt. It was quick and painless and made his job much easier and the final outcome cleaner. Sorry I didn't take a pic of that part. http://www.the370z.com/attachment.ph...1&d=1270696157 |

40% in the rear 3
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a13...ybarred_05.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a13...ybarred_07.jpg 50% on the side http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a13...ybarred_14.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a13...ybarred_11.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a13...ybarred_17.jpg Funny thing is that when the guy tested it after he installed it, the doors read 41%. Tint technology has outpaced enforcement by 20 years. The measuring tool needs an upgrade. |
Window Tint
I recently had my car tinted, 35% front and back and 30% on the door windows and I'm really happy with the results. I asked help from http://www.TintBuyer.com. They provide relevant information about window tints such as its benefits, quotations, laws involve in every state and will help you find the best professional tinter near your area. I hope this helps

18% Rear
25% Sides 70% Front The installer said it was "carbon" tint, whatever that means. They did a good job, but had to do the driver's door over to fix the corner peel. http://www.the370z.com/members/schru...8-img-1470.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/schru...4-img-1472.jpg |
