I like the Cipher, I have one for my driver's side and don't have any issues with it other than the bracket was a pain to install due to shitty instructions. Beyond that, they're TUV approved for German roads which makes them alright in my book.

Is the cost is the only way to know? Can you give some tips how to know? Thanks!

Cost is not the way to tell. I could buy fake Bride seats and sell for 4k which would not make them authentic.

1. Buy from a Bride authorized dealer. Done
2. If you buy used the owner should have receipts and if not tell them to get them for proof of authentic purchase.
3. The fake seat will not say Made in Japan.

This should help

I believe so they don't get a lawsuit they can not legally alter/make up where it was made. The fake Bride seats a couple years ago said made in Canada or Taiwan. NOT made in Japan. Find me a fake that says Made in Japan

If you look on let's say Ebay for crappy knock offs first off I can tell from the pics on most. They do not have a quality look, sagging cloth, bride writing isn't level etc.

Also they do say made in Taiwan on the post. It says Bride-Taiwan ding ding ding. Fake

Like I said earlier buy from an authentic dealer. DONE.

Can we talk about quality seats and ditch this talk about crappy knockoffs .

Seriously, a decent pair of seats isn't THAT expensive. You can get a pair of entry level Sparcos, brackets and sliders for under $1200 all in, so why would you ever f*ck around with some cheesy eBay seats?

personally i wouldn't trust anything that isn't FIA approved regardless of manufacturer. this pretty much eliminates any reclining seat from being safe. some might fair better than others

Spring/Summer I run a Zeta III Type L. Even with the Type L(arge) I barely fit with a 32waist. I am fortunate to have narrow hips I guess. The shoulder bolster puts some pressure on the upper part of the door panel.

For colder months (i.e. when I don't have events that require a helmet) I run stock touring. The seat warmer sure is nice on those colder days.

For those who have status seats. I'm having a hard time deciding between the leather and ultra suede. I don't track my Z, but I prefer a little more of function over looks. I'm assuming the suede prevents you from sliding around in the seat more?

Ive asked a few people now and that seems to be the consensus. I also live in vegas so getting leather would probably be a mistake. Thanks for the advice.

Remember suede looks and feels great when it's new, however it is going to wear down and lose it's appeal in time.
