Thanks. For reference, I have a 34" waist and it's a tight squeeze for me into a Pole Position. My head would sit pretty high above the seat and the harness holes would be pretty low against my shoulder blades. So not ideal if I go for a HANS and harness bar/half cage in the future.

The Profi SPG XL gives me plenty of room around the waist and has a taller back, so fits me a little better at 6'1. I just wish the seat cushion was higher up to close up the angle/"opening" so it can support my thighs a bit better. They have a high cushion option for the regular SPG but not for the XL unfortunately.

I see that you're in Sacramento. If you ever make it down to the SJ area you're more than welcome to try it out.

I appreciate the offer, but I have already tested the Profi SPG. The issue is actually not waist size - its tight but I can get in there.

The harness passthrough holes are too low - forcing the harness straps to sit at too sharp an angle. Basically in any crash, i'd be crippled.

I went with a Sparco EVO QRT XL, which is wider but more importantly has larger passthrough holes, allowing the harness to sit at the correct angle.

This is a vital area to check if you intend to use a racing harness. Depending on the organizer, you may not pass tech inspection if the harness is not installed properly.

For anyone in the Bay Area, I highly recommend Griffin Motorwerke in Berkley. They are primarily a Euro-centric shop but will work on anything. More importantly, they are a major Recaro dealer and have every seat available in the showroom to testfit, AND t they do track prep so they can walk you through any issues, like they did for me. They could have made a sale on a Profi SPG XL to me, but talked me out of it due to the safety issue.

Alternatively, if you head over to Sonoma (Infineon, Sears Points, etc) Raceway, their shop stocks SOME Sparco and Recaro seats, as well as other brands. Another good spot to test fit.

Unfortunately, there are no Bride dealers in the area that I've found. EOD it would have been pointless for me since they are . . . sized for the JDM market. There are multiple dealers in Socal, though, if you're making a trip. LOT USA (the NA Distributor) and Evasive Motorsports will likely have showrooms and samples. I also see them bringing seats to various drift events and car shows, so stalk them on social media, I guess.

Makes sense. I also test fitted the Sparco EVO QRT XL at Sonoma when I was in the market and noticed the harness holes were at least 2" higher compared to the Profi SPG XL. So I can definitely see your point of view when you were seat shopping.

Only other seat I would've wanted to go for was the Bride Zieg IV Wide. Sat in one at JCCS last year - slightly more snug compared to the Profi SPG XL and the back of seat was shorter. Would've fit better in the car, but wouldn't have worked out due to my height.
