That doesn't seem that bad to fit... of course i'm 5'9 or thereabouts and 168 lbs ... so easy to say I suppose.

yep! Like I said though... the weight savings is tempting... but there are other things I could do.. and I feel my standard Z seats are extremely comfortable as well.

what aftermarket seats (possibly Bride) would fit?

if comfort what you're going for, its hard to find aftermarket seats better than oem seats haha

personally the only reason I'd get seats would be to replace old one or if I wanted the better grip so I don't slide around at the track... the visual asthetics is just a plus :yum: haha a big plus

actually knowing what size jeans you are helps the best, most Bride bucket seats are for like 30-34 range, reclinable buckets I'd put at about 34-36, and reclinable are about 34-38, thats just an estimate some seats have large or small variations that go up or down a size or two.

fuct 09-15-2011 09:26 AM

i wear a 34 in jeans but my *** seems to wear out the bottom bolsters on the fcatory seats. maybe im just a rough sitter! :P

kchu221 09-15-2011 11:32 AM

^... i think you should go with seats that has low side bolsters, like the vorgas!

I'd say all reclinable seats should work find for you, even the reclinable buckets... if you plan on getting buckets you might possibly want to look into some type-L seats offered for the ZetaIII a few other bucket seats

yea that should also avoid a tight fit, less bolster gives you more freedom

JollyGoodChap 09-15-2011 01:05 PM

Those Bride Euro IIs are nice. They come in the gradation color now.

I'll play too. Got these about 4 months ago. Siderails came in this week and bases should be in in another week or two. Ordered the mounts from Wedge Engineering.

Man, I always feel like a black seat can't be beat but even with no other interior mods, seeing red seats just pops so hard....argh...decisions.

SeeyaBud86 09-15-2011 08:14 PM

Victor those look sick man. Great job. Car looks phenomenal.

KamiSpeed 09-16-2011 09:43 AM

got a customer who just got his Bride Gias II with the new Venus from us, once I have pictures I'll post them up...

sig11 09-16-2011 10:44 AM

Did you guys all try the seats before you bought them? I'm having a really difficult time finding anyplace to try out seats.

we tried stocking the seats at one point but it was too hard to move them so we ended up selling more of one seat and just having the other ones chilling haha. I think what you have to do is go to a car show/meet and try peoples seats, thats the best I can recommend, it might be a bit weird, but I'm sure Bride owners know the difficulty of trying the seats so they'll be more inclined to let you try them

sig11 09-16-2011 11:16 AM

That's been my strategy so far. Haven't had much luck though. :)

Okay, I'm a noob so just wondering if there is a good site where I can see most of the seat options. Also, even better, does anyone know of nay place, stores, shows, etc. in the southern California area where I would be able to see them in person and sit in them? Also, how difficult is it and how long doe sit take to put seats in?

Thanks!

not a specific site but I can help you out with seats, in terms of trying out seats, I think going to a big meet and trying out seats in cars would be a good bet. And if you have all the right hardware seats should only take about an hour or so.

Calvin 10-05-2011 05:06 PM

Let me check my schedule.

ilive2win 10-06-2011 11:43 AM

those status seats are so nice! i might have to pick some up for whatever im getting lol

edconline 10-06-2011 12:17 PM

How are people retaining the stock seatbelts with the racing seats? Where do you bolt the seatbelt release/lock to if it's normally bolted to the stock seats?

ilive2win 10-06-2011 12:28 PM

isnt there a "how to" for aftermarket seats? too lazy to look

depends on the seat rail, some come with that built in option if you want to keep the stock seat belt lock

edconline 10-06-2011 01:54 PM

Ahh, cool thanks for the info! Im assuming if that is a valid mounting point for the seatbelt lock then you could use it for one of the points on a harness too, rather than bolting thru the transmission tunnel?
