Ok I can't find it. Planted aren't the greatest, what was the other bolt in company that's better? I need a base plate and the side rails.

Wedge Engineering is who I think you're thinking of.

i dont know. the pics look much better for the planted. the wedge looks like just steel rod welded together with no real mounting surface for the risers.

anyway, keeping up with the thread. heres mine :). thanks to this thread and the forum's DIY i was able to get the weight sensor to work perfectly, and since these seats have airbags integrated they were PnP

Just saw this and on a fluke, first time I have visited this thread!

Yes we carry Sparcos, and damn you chips... They look good

The biggest problem I have with seat mounts for this car is it's hard to get them low enough, given low headroom in this car and the funky floorpan shape. Ditching the idea of sliders helps as that kills another inch or so of height (plus the seat is a lot more stable both for driver-feel and in a wreck...). But the bottom line is any of the universal-ish brackets (e.g. the Sparco ones, Planted, etc) isn't going to be as awesome on managing seat height as something custom-fabbed for exactly where you want the seat at. It doesn't cost that much to hit up a reputable local racecar builder and have them fab up your seat-mounting solution based on your body size, seat, and car, and you'll get a superior solution.

wstar, I'm glad that you've pointed out what I believed this whole time to be a deficiency as well. Though I love my aftermarket seats, the moment I sit in them my head nearly touches the headliner. This I'm sure would be detrimental if I were to ever roll the vehicle. :icon14: As you've mentioned, though I enjoy the ability to adjust the seat back and forth, I believe down the line I will have a shop mount the seats directly onto the Wedge Engineering brackets.

While I'm not sure the compatibility with other brands, I know the Bride FO rails which are a mount and slider all in one, actually gained me more head room when I put them in with my Vios III's.

thanks. it's not as comfortable as the touring seat and lumbar could be better, but it's not uncomfortable. i'm probably going to buy the lumbar insert sparco sells.

Sounds about right. Bride is well-known for being able to provide low seat positioning dependent on rail and seat configuration.

Sorry for the huge pics, the smaller ones get compressed and look like crap. Anyway, I haven't gotten to take many pics since I installed them, here's the only ones I have right now

Oh, and if you didn't know you can resize your browser screen by holding Ctrl and rolling your mouse wheel down.

Can you use stock harness w/ these seats Status Racing Ring GT-X Racing Seats - Status Racing or do you need to get a 4 point?

Technically: You must use your stock Seat Belts even if you have a 4-point harness on.

Also, i wouldn't get a 4/5 Point harness without a roll bar... so consider that as well.

Volk Z 09-19-2014 02:41 PM

With a fixed back seat the buddy club sliders are the best to keep it similar to stock if not slightly lower. They also are of great quality.

For a reclining seat the height issue of the bracket isn't as big of a deal. Bride mount would be my choice for a reclining seat.

synolimit 09-27-2014 12:39 PM

Which one? Both FIA, Corbeau 26lbs, OMP 22.66lbs.

Huck 09-27-2014 06:30 PM

I personally like the corbeau a bit more, that omp kinda looks like a toy seat

Zdayz 2014!!

synolimit 09-27-2014 06:47 PM

That's what I thought. But omp so is popular might hold up better.

Very comfortable and love how the seats are leather and have the white stitching on them so it matches with the interior of the car... By far the best choice for seats!

I do have the matching seat. This pic was taken before I installed the passenger side haha

nomodsjk 09-28-2014 07:09 PM

Is that the euroster premium?

Yes it is

mag_black 10-16-2014 09:56 PM

Does anyone have issues w/ buddy club rails/brackets and Status? If I tighten the side mount bolts, the floor bolts don't line up. If I loosen the side mount bolts to line up the floor bolts, the side mounts don't line up. It's causing some binding so the slider isn't exactly smooth. And yes, I do have the correct sides on (driver, passenger). It looks like I need to bend the side mounts a little bit. It also ate a little into the side of my seats

edit: I have Status Ring GT-X

Guys just ordered Buddyclub base/rail combo and waiting to be delivered and mount it in my 370z together with the sparco pro 2000.
Any input on this combo? Will it fit and how low/high will seat compared to stock?
Also, why when i asked Buddyclub about their base/rail they told me they dont have them for 370z? Are they discontinued or something? I bought them from optionsauto.com btw.

Just put these in....got an awesome deal on them. I'm a smaller guy (5'6" 145lbs) and these are freakin' SNUG. I couldn't imagine a "normal" size person trying to squeeze in these lol.

FireDan50 11-07-2014 08:35 AM

I think its either because I haven't messed with the side height adjustments or its the Planted brackets....I'm leaning more toward the brackets being the reason. Bride FO type rails/brackets should cure the elevation problem. Its not the seats, its the brackets/adjustments

Zoren 370 11-07-2014 09:25 AM

^ i know firedan its the brackets needs some adjustments.

Hey if your fine with it by all means leave it as is.
Im just voicing my preference.

Your seats looks great man. Dont get me wrong.

Its a love/hate thing....I love having a higher view of everything...cuz I'm short lol. But its a pain in the *** getting in/out with it that high lol
