Nissan 370Z Forum - '07 350z gauge light brightness issue

I have an '07 350Z Roadster and while driving at night, the light for the mileage guage area in the dash is very bright, almost to the point of being distracting. My guess is that it just appears that way because that area is quite large. When I go to adjust the level of brightness by the control buttons, I can get the brightness of the mileage guage light lower to a comfortable level but that also lowers the other guage lights where they almost seem unlit. I wish the mileage guage area had it's own light so it could be adjusted or turned off. I love my '07 350Z but the interior dash guage lights were always something that I did not like, especially the bland yellow/orange color. The guage lights on the 370Z are much nicer and uniformly lit as well as a nicer color red. Does anyone feel the same or have any suggestions? I have a feeling that it's just a design flaw at least IMHO.
