Not to my knowledge, should be identical, the dealer just did not put one in from the factory for the 09's but the place for it to go is there.

FYI: you can visually check the condition of the filter by looking behind and below the battery. The air inlet is in the firewall and provides a view of the filter.

I have to remove the piece that holds the battery cover to get a good view. Easy job - just a few "pop rivets" and a little twisting and it comes right off. Replacing the piece is only very slightly more difficult. It's a snap after you do it once.
