Raj, you ever get it off? Did the belt work? I'm finding it real hard to understand why it's not coming off with all that space to work with. You can just about use any tool!

Well. It took me about 15 minutes of set up (taping the knob and getting the vise grips just right on the shaft), another 10 minutes to break a smaller strap wrench (should have gone with the bigger one right away) and another 5 minutes to break the lock tight, take the knob off and put a new one on. A total of 30 minutes. Not bad, I expected a lot worse.
No damage to the stock knob.

I got mine from Canadian tire. Mastercraft tools have a life time warranty. I wil test it tomorrow.
