question on painting door handles
 

i feel like im missing something here, but why do the door handles need to be removed to paint them?

cant you just tape everything off sand/prime/paint them with them still on the car?

im gonna feel dumb if im missing something obvious...

Unless you're willing to tape and cover the rest of the car just for door handles, it's easier to just remove them and paint. You don't want overspray by painting them while still on the vehicle.

It's just easier and safer to take them off.
