Default The need for a Second Cupholder

Hey Everyone,

Now that the nicer weather is finally coming, the Z has come out of hibernation from the winter. My wife and I where out driving yesterday and hit the starbucks drive-thru. Ordered (2) Grande Coffee's...only one problem, ever tried to fit a Grande coffee in the Passenger Door cup well?

So I pose this question to the forum, has anybody tried a DIY on a second cupholder or now a nice little add-on pop-out style cupholder. There is a lot of space to fit one behind the console lid.

There is a second cup holder in the center armrest. Just open it and voila, but I suspect you are lacking that cup holder piece.

Are you talking about in the console bin area? Is that something Nissan sells or I didn't get it with the car?

I guess I'm referring to the one in front of the console. Not in it. I see what your saying now. Yea that sucks for two.

well i know my 2009 370z I have (1) cupholder on the center console, (1 or 2) cupholders if you open the armrest, and (1) each side of door panels.....

I think thats enough cupholders for a two sitter.... I wouldnt even waste your money on a DYI, just make your wife hold her own damn cup BWAHAHAHAHA

I believe Part 96925P is the tray that fits into the center console compartment. It has several divided compartments, including a cup holder. Looks pretty reasonable for OEM part at $30, although I'm sure it's about $1.50 worth of materials and labor.

Wait a minute. Why can't your wife just hold her drink. What is she doing with her hands at the time?

Thanks for the diagram, saves me time at the dealership. I guess they had to reduce the weight in 2010 model, so the accessory tray had to go
