Yea there have been times I wish there were 2 cup holders in there. Don't even call those things in the doors cup holders because they're only designed to hold bottles of water or something that's sealed.

Also make sure your passenger knows this because my gf one time put her almost finished cup of starbucks in there and sure enough some of it spilled. It would have been much worse if the cup was actually full.

Oh well, only one drink at a time in the car lol

So I got the part ordered from Nissan and the dam thing doesn't come with any openings for the 12V plug or the navi options?

Does the tray fit in over top of those features and you remove the tray if want access to them?

Did Nissan order me the right on?

Thanks for the help.

That's ridiculous for the 12V outlet. I can see Nissan overlooking the nav options, but that would still be stupid. I am interested in this option, but if I can't access the 12V, then I'm better off fabricating something myself from scratch. Can anyone with a 2009 and the console insert answer 1SweetZ's question?

I have been playing with it for an hour and can say that the tray is a perfect fit in the opening. There are (2) foam bumpers on the side to retain the lid inside the opening. I pulled those off and the tray comes in and out pretty easy.

I will have to mod the part and cut some circular openings in the tray to access the 12V plug and the ipod USB interface.

Small PITA factor.
Any word from 2009 Z owners on the different navi tray option?

Do you just store it behind the seat when you don't need it.
It is kinda useless and I see why Nissan deleted it for MY 2010
Going to do a little modification to it to see if I can make some openings in the cupwell.

I too wish there was just ONE more cup holder in the center...my 350 was rediculus, 6 of them, 4 in the center(2 in the box) and 1 in each door. I have the bad habit of Copenhagen...would like one for the spitter and one for a drink.

My tray is behind the seat. When i need it i just take it out. The only thing i sacrifice while using the tray is my phone charger. My other volt is already occupied for my detector.
