Interior Painted

Any body with a 370z that has the interior either the same color code as the exterior or something like a satin black finish or etc....

I'm possibly debating the idea of two toning my interior between the carbon fiber pieces and a color to go over the flat vinyl black that comes factory. I use want to view some pictures and make sure its not overkill. Just want to see some pictures to help imagine the idea.

Paint quality would appears like the exterior of the car. I wanted to fiberglass those parts that are factory vinyl black TO a glossy smooth black finish. The issue i see with doing black and carbon fiber is that the black would take away from the beauty of the carbon fiber, if I choose to paint glossy black. I also contemplated painting those pieces a solid red with carbon fiber pieces but again, I am afraid that would overkill. Its a project that's for sure going to be considered a lot but trying to accomplish this where it looks clean and flows with the car. Not trying to do a ricer setting but something where its a bit more eye appealing in the interior. I do plan on doing more to the kill overall, excluding exterior and wheels but figured I would finish interior before I start on exterior since its been modded the most.

i haven't see anyone with paint color in the inside of a 370z but i bet it will look very nice. i almost did it but i got other things that im working on more of the exterior. post pics if you do!

yea I had the center and door switch panels done in chrome silver to match my 04 350z... The 370z currently has carbonfiber in the common areas that would be painted but im looking to fiberglass/paint/clear prehaps the rest of the door panel and center console between the carbon fiber armrest and carbon fiber shifter

The problem is I just don't see too many places in the Z that would take paint and still look good. Maybe the various trim pieces but there aren't many large areas that are saying "paint me" when I sit in the car.

Do it!

Red__Zed 03-12-2011 11:28 PM

I think it would look off on the 370z interior.

If you do decide to do it, make sure to post pictures.

yea thats why Im debating the idea... I really started considering it because I got a decent scuff mark on the bottom of my door panel that wont go away... Have cleaned it with soap, water, detail stray, interior cleaner, leather cleaner....and its still there.

So the paint idea was generated as the final method is eliminating the problem lol.. Damn imagination.

GZ3 03-13-2011 12:15 AM

i think it would look good in matte or stain finish

Carbon_z 03-13-2011 12:22 AM

yea I said that about the satin also but still unsure but the only idea im leaning towards....

christian370z 03-13-2011 01:23 AM

Actually, what about painting the rear chassis brace? You have so much carbon fiber I don't really know what else there is to customize in the interior haha.

simota1 03-13-2011 09:43 AM

i was always tempted to do this to my center but i think im a little to loud for me now....

Zerafian 03-13-2011 10:26 AM

the 370 interior is very nice already...adding a bunch of glossy crap inside cheapin's it to me *shrugs*

kenchan 03-13-2011 11:59 AM

look too tacky for me... maybe the black but glossy finish glares in the sun so not sure if you want that.
