370z Smoked Taillights

4 Attachment(s)
So decided to get them smoked out instead of black. I felt that capturing a Ruby Red/Smoke effect will allow the overall look of the car to flow better..... I am happy with the results and have attached some pics, if your interest

PS: I took pics on iphone and did not clean car....sue me :tiphat:

Love it. What did you use for this?

Nismo221 03-11-2011 09:11 PM

looks good! and most likely it the same taillight tint everyone uses to black their lights, but just one coat instead of two. But correct me if im wrong.

Looks good!

I like the smoked look better than the black too. I used vinyl overlays for my tail lights. Did you use the overlays too, or did you get them painted?

looks great i kinda did the same thing but i left the reverse lights alone

they were painted and then cleared... some used the cans mixed with paint and clear. nothing beats paint and clear separate.

Its just a few costs lighter than black.. Considered medium black I guess. But this was done professional at a paint shop. I SUCK at painting lol

I wish mine were a little darker like yours, but I like having overlays since they are easily removable.
