Third Brake Light Re-install
 

So I know I could have searched but typing anything with the word tail light brake light comes with TONS of threads...

So this is my question. I removed the taillights and 3rd brake lights. Reinstalling them but the 3rd brake light had some sort of double sided tape or stripping that I need to find. Anybody know where I can find this at? homedepot, Lows?????

Moses go to the dealer... its a weather stripping in the correct shape for the third brake light.

Go to a place like AutoZone and get 3M heavy duty double stick tape. I used it to replace the old tape for the kick plates, and I also used it with the CF b pillar covers.

3m super strength molding tape work??

When you install it make sure you get a good seal.

I had to remove mine and get thicker closed cell foam gasket.

i used the 3m super strength and the contacted the pieces. Came out perfect. I basically rolled out some 3m tape and then used a razor blide to divide the pulled out tape in half. This needed to be done since the tape was wider then the area of the light it was being placed on. I divided the tape and started laying it on the 3rd brake light. Used a hair dryer to heat up the tape and metal of car and then contacted the pieces "which was harder then it sounds" and bolted the screw. Came out nice and only cost me 4 bucks and got it instant.... Nissan wanted 40 and i had to wait 5=10 business days... BWAHAHA and I have extra left over :)
