Default My jeans stain my Z seats!! help!!

Hi ppl,

i drive the touring 370Z so i have the suede/leather seats (the grey color). I just realized that there are dark blue stains on my seats and I assume they are from my jeans. Is there a way to clean this up? I'm worried because jeans stain on my white sneakers never come off. HELPP!!

Thanks

Ask junkmann in the detailing section.

I can only suggest Griot's Interior Cleaner. Which I bet would work to some degree...

You must be wearing raw or selvedge type denim. I have had similar issues with shoes, but not with car seats 0_0 Make sure to wash your jeans prior to wearing them. Flip them inside out and wash once. After that you should be good, and try not to wash them again. Taking care of nice jeans = not washing

Even if you wash(soak) raw denim once, it doesn't help, it still rubs off haha.

Wash your jeans before wearing them

If you have raw/selvedge denim, you've got the right jeans. But bummer about your seats man. Lexol leather cleaner works really well. I'd try to use Lexol with a clean microfiber towel to clean the stains, and then treat it with Lexol leather conditioner.

Lexol Leather Cleaner

Lexol Leather Conditioner

Best of luck,

The obvious solution is to take your pants off before driving.

The premium members had a discussion about this.
Pants in the Z? (sorry premium only)

I had a 350z with frost interior and a 370z. It might actaully be your belt and not your jeans. There is no way to remove this. I got the dealer to replace my seat bottom on the 370z bc it happened within 2 months of owning the car. I took it to an interior shop that refinishes/redyes leather. They tried every chemical they had and the stain did not come out. That is why my 3rd Z has black interior. Good Luck!

I vote for pants off while driving.

Hell, there is no legitimate reason to ever wear pants. Pants off = party all the time, party all the time, party all the tiii-iiime.

My jeans did the same thing to my frost seats. Cleaned up just fine with a damp cotton rag.

I always keep a blanket or towel in my car in case people sit in my seats with swim shorts or something retarded like that, or to clean up unexpected messes. (one time a guy pulled up to a stop light next to me, rolled over a closed soda bottle and made it explode the contents in thru my window all over my dash)
