Killed two birds with one stone. Some people have been asking for pictures of 370z's with racing stripes.

Did you have to trim the inducts so the wouldn't hit the G3 intake piping?

yes, they required a lot of trimming to clear the piping - I had to take about 2 inches of in some areas.

Unfortunately the piping is quite in the way as you can see, but for looks I didnt want to move the ducts around too much - they look great in the place they are. There is still enough air to enter plus the Stillen G3 is normally intended to get the air completely from behind so I do not worry.

Yea. I have the Gen 3 also. Plus as the op stated black mesh would go great. Also how to the inducts attach to the clip? Tape?

be aware that with the piping of the stillen in place the air ducts have only limited functionality even though I think a bit of fresh air in this area is better than none / only from the bottom. As I have installed additional coolers for my AT, engine oil and an upgraded PS cooler I feel it at least cant hurt to bring more air in there. While driving it shouldnt be too bad as there is still clearance.

The installation took me like 5 hours where 1 hour was cutting out the stencil, another hour making the openings a perfect fit for the ducts (the stencil isnt too accurate) and like 3 hours of cutting, testfit, cutting, testfit to make the ducts clear the piping while still maintain the most of the carbon inlet as possible.

The ducts are secured with black self-tapping screws - I didnt use the silver screws supplied as this would have looked too ugly imho.

Fortunately the 370Z front bumper seems to have pretty much the same angles as the 350Z so it really fits nicely if you do the openings and clearance mods right. You should have a very sharp knife/cutter, a file (I used an electric one which made the job a lot easier) and a cutting disc to modify the ducts for the piping.

The idea with the black mesh feels good, I will give it a try soon and post updated pics.

Chris

This would be a really nice mod for anyone using the OEM airboxes too.
