i tired that and the end results were terrible lol i used sand paper and the chrome doesnt come off. you need to spend about 2 hours with the sandpaper to get it all off. i think if i use coca cola and then after few days sand off the remains it will look perfect. ill do it as soon as i get home so tomorrow or the next day ill post up the pics of the end results. |

and for the emblems i have seen some but not all, i guess i havent looked hard enough. is it a trust worthy site? and by the way i would not recommend any of them because it says that the it doesn't fit in the back. so i think im just gonna get the stock ones from the dealer and paint them Last edited by armensti; 04-08-2009 at 01:29 PM. |

The rear emblem is smaller than the front emblem, and who knows, maybe the emblems on the 370Z are a bit different in angles from following the body contours. Only time will tell. I was going to go for a different front emblem, and I would have sent you our front emblem for free, but my wife likes the Nissan emblem.

so, if I debadge the car and take off the front and rear emblems, will there be holes in the bumper/trunk lid? or are these flat backed without locating pegs?

No Pegs, but there is a 1/4" depression in the bumper that the emblem sits in.......Classic de-badging is out because of this...You'd need to plastic weld in a filler piece, Finish with a plastic bondo and paint.

Ok, I'm gonna ask a silly question and I'm good at asking silly ones....but why would anyone want to "de-badge" their car?

Armensti actually painted his emblems to match his Z and they turned out very well as I saw them when MiniCobra1 had our first meet.
