radar detector
I only see a power jack in the cousel for my 2010 370z.
How the heck do you mount a radar detector? The wire will string across the car no??? Im a noob and sorry for the stupid question. |
There's also another power port on the passenger side, under the glove box. Most people end up hard-wiring them in, hiding the wire's along the rear-view mirror, then over and down to the fuse box.

I had the Escort "steath cord" hardwired in. Any good auto electronics store can do it for you.:stirthepot:

Hanging is soooooo ghetto but seemks like the best way to go until I get it hard wired.

anyone have any good thoughts on how to do it with my nismo which comes with the regular mirror (non powered)? If its not too technical, id be curious. Just got a Redline detector and waiting for the car to come out of the garage soon...
|
i tapped my v1 to the fuse box and i place it just above the cluster on the right side.
|
i have a BLENDMOUNT for my Valentine 1.. it mounts to the rearview mirror stem and power comes from the homelink behind the mirror itself.. it looks factory!!.. and best of all no hanging cord!!
|
Yah, but I find those too clunky looking for me..
|
You could also look into this option, which is the route I'll be going for a more 'hidden' option...

Changed Radar Detector to an "Escort Max 360". from the V1. I will clean up the V1 and add it to my "For Sale - Part Out" thread created on 07/27/2017.
