Tint on front windshield?

Why do you want to tint the windshield? Is it for appearance or function? There are a few options (ceramic and some new 3M stuff) that are basically clear, but

There are a few options (ceramic and some new 3M stuff) that are basically clear, but will block out a LOT of the heat that enters from the sun. Maybe look into one of those?
