Hi thanks for the pictures, what % is that on the windshield? Is it ceramic? Originally Posted by cheshirecat Here you go, OP. I suggest you get it. Kinda overkill

I seriously doubt you'll get an answer. That post is from 2011 and the user last logged into the forum in 2015.

I have had tint on my front windshields for years. I will give you my feedback. Anything more than 70% will impair your vision. I have had 50% before and it was OK in town with street lights at night. At night in rural areas it would majorly decrease your vision. In heavy rain storms it will impair your vision. 70% Ceramic is the only thing I will use. The reason for it in the south is heat reduction. I also run a 5% legal strip at the top because I drive into work with the sun in my face in the morning.

I have 3M Crystalline 90 on the front windshields of my Z and the wife's Infiniti. It's completely clear yet cuts heat as well as 70% tint. Keeps the vehicle interior cooler during summer temps.

I too have what appears to be a clear tint on my front windshield and helps with UV and heat. Here in AZ you need whatever you can to help keep the oppressive heat from frying you and your cars interior.

There are a few options (ceramic and some new 3M stuff) that are basically clear, but will block out a LOT of the heat that enters from the sun.

Maybe look into one of those?
For myself I personally like the slight privacy but importantly the bright light and heat reduction. Definitely need to have a quality shop to it though.

My 350 and now 370 run 50% front tint coupled with 15% on the sides. It cuts down on heat quite a bit but the forward visibility is absolutely fine. I can take some pictures if you need from inside/outside, OP.

Yeah, I've driven in cars with 80% and 70% and you'd really never know the tinting was there, but the heat/uv... benefits were very noticeable.

Limo tint on the front windshield FTW. Make sure the car is self-driving though!
