Still waiting for farther away shots to see how it flows with the lines of the whole car.

Hurry up and paint that bad boy.

Maybe you can give him a little loving :yum: wink wink and he'll make the first version of the type 3 wing also. ;)

not liking it. kinda looks like that duck tail spoiler on a that "classic" edition porsche

Me thinks that's what they're going for. Just me guessing.

wolf370z 03-01-2011 04:21 PM

I think the angles are a bit misleading. In some pictures, the more rounded (v2 from here on out) looks a bit longer than v1 (original). It's really hard to tell what I like more... I think some distance shots would help show how it fits and flows with the rest of the car. I actually like both versions pretty equally. It's basically exactly what I believe a lot of people want: a slightly bigger version of the stock spoiler that retains the stock mounting points and isn't [insert generic pedestal spoiler/wing here].

If the car could ever be fast enough to make that thing worthwhile (which it still wouldn't be due to my guess it being FWD) it's still ugly lol

interested

I like it a lot but wish the rear edge more closely matched the contour of the hatch, that would be perfection in my opinion.

I'm a little confused by what you mean here...

Are you saying the part where the spoiler actually connects, where it's closest to the hatch, should match the contour of the hatch? Or are you saying that the tail end (where it flips up) should be contoured to the hatch??

I'll take a full pix of the car tomorrow. The new wing on a car with a full body kit really makes the car look aggressive! Not pretty.:p

I meant the rear edge that flips up, it is hard to really tell though without some better pictures at a larger distance. I just wish it was a bit more conservative in therms of the size of the wing but it still looks great!

You better take some pics j/k ;)

KaienZ34 03-02-2011 01:29 PM

Both versions are very hot. Maybe a list is in order?? And if enough interest is there for both versions of this type 3 wing, Rick will hook it up and make them both. Or made to order, but again this is me just guessing and speaking out of turn.

NewYorkJon34 03-03-2011 10:01 AM

Rick, any pics of the wing painted red on your car

KaienZ34 03-03-2011 12:41 PM

I hate to say it but i think i'm liking the first version the best. I guess i'll have to see it when it's done and installed, and some pics from farther away.

I definitely agree. I'm really only interested in the carbon fiber option so painted isn't really my concern. I'm just more interested in how the wing would fit on a stock body Z! :happydance::happydance::tup:

On a serious note, the "no news is good news" proverb doesn't seem to apply here...

Put me down for a fiberglass version when ready.

Junior370z 03-14-2011 10:27 PM

I'm still waiting for it. Should get it soon. I'll give Rick a call.

NewYorkJon34 03-14-2011 10:35 PM

Thanks for the updates Junior
