Would Like Some Help--Want to Make a Shiftboot
Hi everyone,
I am the owner of a small company that makes shiftboots and ebrake covers. I talked to AK about making this thread and we agreed that I wouldn't 'advertise' my business per-say, as I am not yet a paying vendor. What I would like to do is work with someone on developing a template for the 370z and set-up some group buys with everyone here. What I would need to make a shiftboot is the shifter bezel and the stock shiftboot. What the willing participant would do is send me both of these items. When I receive them, I will start to make a template. I would work on it for about a week at the most and ship it back. I would return it with a shiftboot with a material and accent stitch that you desired free of charge. The only cost to you is: 1. The cost of shipping the item to me 2. About a weeks worth of increased road noise from having a hole in your console where the shiftboot goes. Another option is. I could buy the bezel and shiftboot from you. Keep it for a week and make the template and ship it back. When it is returned to you in the same condition as I received it, you would refund me the money and the deal is done. If you are interested in working with me feel free to shoot me a PM or post here. Thanks!! John Mitchell Here are some pics of my work: http://i549.photobucket.com/albums/i...1/IMG_3449.jpg http://i549.photobucket.com/albums/i...1/IMG_3425.jpg http://i549.photobucket.com/albums/i...1/IMG_3365.jpg http://i549.photobucket.com/albums/i...shiftboot2.jpg |
I have many materials and can also get quite a few. ^^Those are just a small sample.

Make one of the same material that the touring package door cards are made of and I'll buy one.
Also, if you make a steering wheel wrapped in alcantara or ultra suede, ill buy that too. If you have the material I want, then I'll send you mine, I am in Miami. |
I would like to see specifically what material it is. Is it a suede/alcantara or a leather/vinyl material?
I just recieved a 350z boot in the mail today. I am going to make a template and size it right and see if that one will fit in the 370z. I have never tried to wrap a steering wheel before, but it would be a cool thing to do. Ill pick up one from a 240 or something and give it a try and see how it turns out. |
