Man, I hope so. It is still under warranty. I've already taken it back for the stupid hatch not unlatching all the way.

Mine doesn't see the rain, but when I washed my car a few times I have seen this too. Was going to take a picture next time I see it and show it to the dealer.

Arrow There's a TSB for That!

There is a factory TSB out on this: Exterior Lamp Fogging

This TSB has also been revised; the revisions simply adds the year 2010.

I read that TSB, but I think it talks about the front assembly. Mine was the passenger side rear. Also, we didn't have rain Wednesday, only wind, and I have not washed my car in over a week. If it is indeed a "preventive" measure, it's a real shitty one. I don't see other cars have that problem, unless the housing is really old.

Spoke with Stadium Nissan and they set me up with an appointment tomorrow. We'll see what they say.

Went in to Stadium Nissan, need to send them the picture of the condensation otherwise they won't do anything with it. He also said that the TSB does not apply to tailights only headlights.

Default Same thing

I've got it in my driver's side tail light assembly. The TSB only addresses headlights that I can see. I have to go in on Saturday for a tire pressure sensor replacement and I was going to ask about this.

EXTERIOR LAMP FOGGING

This bulletin has been amended. The Applied Vehicles and Service Procedure sections have been revised. Please discard all previous versions.

APPLIED VEHICLES: 2001-2010 Nissan, All Models

SERVICE INFORMATION

Occasionally customers may notice water vapor or fog in the exterior lamps. This is generally NOT due to a defect.

The following information, illustrations, and flow chart are provided to help you in determining if an incident for water/condensation in the lamps is normal or not.

All current exterior lamp assemblies are vented to the atmosphere (not sealed).

^ This is necessary to allow for expansion and contraction of air from temperature "variations" (warmer or colder) without damage to the lamp.

^ Moisture in the air sometimes "travels" into and out of the lamp assembly through these vents.

^ Certain environmental conditions may cause moisture to condense.

^ The fogging/cloudiness should disappear over time when the lamp is in a dry environment.

Fog may temporarily form inside the lens of the exterior lights based on environmental conditions or sudden temperature changes (such as in a car wash). This is normal. See Figure 1.

NOTE:
This condensation can appear anywhere on the outer lens, typically at its coldest location.

If the moisture trickles, drips, or pools, it may not be considered normal and the lamp assembly may have a water leak path. See Figure 2 for an example.

If large drops of water collect inside the lens, refer to the flow chart below to find the next step.
