Best Looking side skirts (Opinions needed)

I bought a pair of Nismo (not s-tune) side skirts and before I have them painted, I wanted to see what you guys think are the best looking side skirts for the 370Z. The one plus about these side skirts are that their functional and will have that OEM fit. The stillen sides are functional, but not sure how well they will fit. Im open to selling my nismo ones if I could find a better looking/ functional side skirt.

I just wanted to see what you guys thought the best looking sides were, or if I should just install these nismo sides. My car is a base w/sports package, so I hope they wont look "funny"

azn370z 01-31-2011 02:45 PM

Just keep the nismo. The stillen can have fitment issues. I think the zele looks the best but nothing fits better than oem.

tonybui 01-31-2011 03:08 PM

Amuse?

kenchan 01-31-2011 03:15 PM

if you're going to keep most of the car stock looking, i too like the nismo (non s-tuned) side skirts. :yum:

NewYorkJon34 01-31-2011 03:25 PM

Im waiting to see what Bullitt@UA comes out with for a body kit, but if I dont like it i'm just gonna get the varis carbon rear. I was looking at the carbon ings+ side skirts, but no one has them installed so its hard to judge how they will look.

OMGWTFBBQ 01-31-2011 04:43 PM

Varis FTW. Even though it might be too aggressive for some.

christian370z 01-31-2011 06:41 PM

The OEM Nismo skirts look the best in my opinion; they help accent the car from the 3/4 and profile view without drawing too much attention. Most of the other side skirts are just too much in my opinion.

I appreciate you opinion, I'm just gonna keep the OEM Nismo side skirts

i like the amuse, great fit from jamica951 and they look good as well. I have some crappy pics on my profile. I will have better ones this weekend.

NewYorkJon34 01-31-2011 07:18 PM

I didn't really like the amuse, if I had the full kit then ok, but by themselves they look kinda plain IMO

just wait I am having some custom striping done this week nothing wild but subtle and it will look like something that would have been an option if nissan offered it.

NewYorkJon34 01-31-2011 07:22 PM

Looking forward to seeing those sides, post pics in this thread.

zuperman 370 02-01-2011 12:47 AM

i think sunline racing sides look aggressive, mine just came in last night, looks great finish and quality are great, and aggressive looking, has a double lip, you should defently check it out

DannyGT 02-01-2011 08:01 PM

Dare I say - Stillen?

IMHO - if there is one thing they made right it was those side skirts. They are very minimalistic, and I'm a fan of them.

NA&CH 02-01-2011 09:42 PM

I would think of a front before installing the sides. We need to get you some rims.

lol, ya now I know why its soo hard to pick the right rim, theres soo many baddass choices

As far as the stillen sides go, I like that they are functional although they are prob as functional as the nismo ones are. I dont know how well the fitment would be, Ive had fitment issues with stillen parts in the past and rather not go down that road again.

DrEvil 02-02-2011 08:58 AM

I have a set of the NISMO sideskirts sitting in a box just waiting for the weather to warm up so that I can install them. Imo Nissan oem looks the most in synch with the lines of the car.( I'm done with "the fast and furious " look.)

The Stillen sides I have fit pretty well.

Fire 02-03-2011 12:51 PM

I had stillen side skirts for my roadster and they didn't fit. I still have thier front splitter and canards and they seem to fit well when I test fitted them. I asked stillen if they had test fitted them on a roadster and they had not. They said they fit thier coupe well. Anybody else have thier side skirts on a vert? Take care.

It's that polyuranthane, it's hard to get their fitment right, which is why I won't buy any stillen aero parts. Not to bash stillen, just that material is just too inconsistent

DrEvil 02-04-2011 07:43 AM

btw, do the oem splash guards fit over the Nismo side skirts?

NewYorkJon34 02-04-2011 07:46 AM

Nope, they do not

DrEvil 02-05-2011 10:04 AM

Thanks. I guess that means more "spare parts".

Ya, but they are pretty tiny spare parts

Evor i was wondering with those sides how strong are they, ie if someone put their weight on them when getting out would you risk them breaking? I did consider these but caution got the better of me.

NewYorkJon34 02-07-2011 09:53 PM

Evo-r, is there anyway you could make me a custom version where the side skirt continues up the rear fender like on a corvette Z06? http://i727.photobucket.com/albums/w...4/d093ec02.jpg

smorice 02-18-2011 04:44 PM

I ordered carbon fiber side skirts about 3 weeks ago from EVO-R. They look great in pictures...I wish I could say the same about them in person. I have tried calling them, emailing them. No Response. What's the deal. Payment was made for close to $500 dollars. No communication and no product has been recieved. Has someone had a similar experience. I'm fustrated. What's the deal? Here's my email. nine44@hotmail.com I would like some answers.

Hang in there... I know his communication is horrible, but he won't run with your money. I bought my front lip and diffuser from Jay. I never received tracking numbers or anything, they just arrived on my doorstep one day.

EVOR 02-19-2011 08:13 AM

Pmed. I'm out of CF sides till next week. Sorry no custom work.

Jessobear 02-19-2011 08:51 AM

The only problem with the OEM Nismo sides is that I think they might look very out of place with standard front and rear bumpers. The bottom of a Nismo is very flat and the stock car is "curvier" down there for lack of a better word.

Changing only the side skirts seems kind of like trying to solve a question that isn't being asked. I feel like the only compelling reason to do it is "because I don't want my car to look stock".

NewYorkJon34 02-19-2011 09:03 AM

Anyone want to buy my nismo sides? They are unpainted, still in the box & in perfect condition.

kevr6 02-20-2011 12:26 PM

Sunline Racing still my fav! Zele next then Branew's product!!
I'm not a fan of the Nismo. Lacks any charisma!! Looks boring and non functional and really does not match the natural curves of the car! The EVO product looks like what it is, a flat piece bolted to the stock rocker. I like the skirt to look like it came that way from the factory.

RCZ 02-20-2011 02:09 PM

Good thread, I've been looking for skirts myself. Wish there were more pictures in this thread. Go figure I kinda like Stillen too like Danny and for the same reasons. Its wide down low and functional. Keeping my options completely open to everything else.
