Default + Forged Performance Shift Knob (Installed) +

Well got around to installing my Forged shift knob. This shift knob is awesome, reason why i didn't get rid of it after selling my 350 since i had the hope it would fit the 370. Overall im very happy but not 100%, IMO i feel it sits way up high and makes it look a bit awkward, damn Nissan shift pole is diff. this time around. On to the pics.

One thing i would like to point out....in my 350 it sat flush with the shift boot but on my 370 there seems to be a little gap/wiggle room left, not sure i like that but should be an easy fix. Here is a pic.

^ took it off the same way i did on my 350z. however this was by far much easier....if i recall correctly i don't think i saw any blue loc-tite what made it a pain in the a$$ in the 350 to take off. oh and do not try and twist...it may damage the shift pole.

Wow...I think I will just stick with the stock shifter, and I always thought these things came off easily with a good twist (just tight enough to not come off while driving).

Shifters vary. Thats the way F-bod's and Vettes are - just twist off. But, my Cavalier for instance, had a freaking pressed-on shifter that you literally had to cut to pieces to get off...

I like the feel of the stock shifter. The only thing shifter related I would probably change would be to go to a short throw shifter.

You can save the stock shifter by wrapping it up with something like a towel if a vice grip is needed.

I like the ergonomics of the stock shifter, but a good weighted shifter is hard to pass up.
