Got my 370Z tinted today!

It's an absolutely beautiful day! Outside temparature is 60 degrees. Z is completely broken in. What can be more enjoyable than driving 90 miles to the tint place in Feasterville, PA? ;)

Just came back from Shades of gray tint in feasterville, PA. They are one of the BEST in the Tristate area. I went with the 40%. They were saying if I'm debating between 30% vs 40%, I should def go with 40%. It will almost look 35% because of limited light inside the Z. They were correct! The tint is perfect. I am very happy with hue of it. 40% is so classy on this car. If you want to retain the classiness of this new Z, def go with 40%. If you live in hot areas like FL or AZ, 30% shouldn't be too bad either. IMO, after seeing my tint, 20% will give you the "blacked out" look on this car. You can get away with it if you have White or silver car, but you're on your own.

Here are some pictures:

Btw, it was the first 370Z they ever did.

Looks fantastic, now you have me thinking 30% may be to much, will have to see my friends car (he has 30%). Going 90 huh, must be nice to have such high speed limits up their. ;)

thanks. I meant 90 miles AWAY from my home. I wouldn't drive 90 MPH on public roads. BTW, from some toll booths, I did floor it up to 6500 RPM a few times. Let just say I was very impressed! :driving:

Beautiful, and you have completely convinced me that 40% is it for our Z too.

Absolutely beautiful.
You picked the best percentage.

I had mine done at 35% and it looks a bit darker than what I anticipated
due to Z has less window area for light to get in.

i got mine from Nissan w/40%, not happy with it because it doesn't do much blocking of the heat here in texas. im gonna be going to 30%

car/tint looks good AK

Looks really good AK!

Looks good, I'm going to be doing mine here in a few weeks. Most likely 35% doors, 20% rears. I think a darker rear window is a definite since you can see everything in the hatch rather easily, moreso than when I had the 350z.

AK talk to me about the shades of gray spot... how long did you wait? what did they charge? Is Feasterville up 95?

LiquidZ 03-31-2009 10:13 PM

Great looking car.

Yes, AK, tell us about that spot. I know exactly where it is. Have actually driven by it a few weeks ago, should have stopped by.

Im convinced 40% is the way to go, except that I'm wondering if I should go darker in the back, so that people won't be able to see into the trunk area. What do you all think of that, would going to like 30% make it impossible to glance-into the rear? dont really want to go darker than 30%.

That looks great. I also like the llumar as you get looks plus excellent heat rejection.

Ceramic tint may cost a bit more, but it offers superior heat rejection and no radio interference.

Here's their website: Shades of Gray | Window Tinting

Exit 35 off I-95N. Very professional and probably the best in the area. I was the only one in the morning today so it only took them 1 hour. I think 1-1.5 Hour is the average time. You can call them for pricing but I have pm'ed you what they charged me. BTW, since you're in SJ (or I'm assuming you are), they are cheaper than ANY of my local place by at least $50:icon14:. Also, they use the BEST tint films.

AK omggggg your car looks hotttttttt!! now my turn!!

Looks good, I got mine done on Sunday but havnt been able to get pics of it yet. I ended up going with 30%, doesnt look too dark but the brighness of the yellow really sets it off for me.

Has everything cured on yours yet? Mine still has a couple bubbles in the back and passenger side. It hasnt been too warm here so hopefully those clear up soon.
