Alcantara knee pads
Went to the dealer to get my ECM swapped (high pitch noise) and looked at a 2011 base Roadster in the showroom. I was impressed by the knee pads on the sides of the center console...they were Alcantara instead of the faux leather. Inquired about ordering some and the dealer said they'd be $60 each. Figured I'd let you guys know since it's a cool change.

96912 and 96913. The numbers are the same on Courtesyparts and through Nissan. However, I don't know how you order leather vs alcantara. Courtesyparts just lists those numbers for all model years. The Nissan parts guy didn't know either, though I'd feel better ordering from Nissan and specifying the 2011 Roadster as 'my car'.

Yeah I noticed that when I looked at a friends ZR. Very nice. Better than the leather on the Coupes IMO... unless you have really sweaty, oily knees in the summer.

What are these knee pads you speak of? Any pics?

If I had kept my Z that would have been one of my next mods. I think the Alcantara treatement there is much nicer than the thick leather in the Coupes.

Amazingly it's just a stock piece on any model. The one I saw in the showroom was a base, non-sport, non-touring roadster. So I think if you tell the dealer you want to order the knee pads for a 2011 roadster, you'll get the Alcantara. I popped the manual shift boot up and they have all the same mounting points (figured I'd just check).
