Three weeks old and some dillweed door-dinged it! Good thing I didn't see it happen, probably be in jail! Anyway, I looked at Advance Auto at Dupli-Color and the only thing I found was "Cloud White" for Nissan. Who sells a touch-up pen, ect.? PW. 'scuze me, QAB. |

The stealership (dealership) will more than likely sell you touch-up paint. I cannot be 100% sure on this but a phonecall to your local parts department at the nearest nissan dealership will confirm this. When I worked at Honda we sold them in nailpolish bottles as well as paint-pens with a finer tip.
The dealership will be your best bet too because it will be colour coded to your vehicle for an exact (most of the time) match. |

There's no doubt that you guys highly recommend Dr colorchip. Pretty sure it's great. Wouldn't it be easier to go to the dealer and get some that's also color matched. Especially if it's only 8 bucks. If that's true. Or does the Dr colorchip apply better?

That door ding is nothing compared to the guy who keyed my car, I used drcolorchip. Works a bit but its still deep so i need another few layers of it, but its the best for those situations.

Factory touchup paint doesn't work with the Colorchip process, at least according to Colorchip. The paint that comes with the Colorchip kit is thinner than the factory paint.
My two cents: Colorchip works very well. Took me a little practice to get better results though. |

The Doctor Colorchip system works but is way overpriced IMO. Also the stupid instructions suggestion to dab on the paint and then smear it flat with your thumb while wearing the supplied rubber glove didn't work. I used an old credit car that I thinned the edge on so it works like a squeegee to bring the paint down to the level of the surface around the chip. It does take some practice to blend it with the other liquid that is supplied but I got fairly good results with tiny chips. One chip at the rear of the rocker panel about 10mm x 3mm and deep enough to show the dark primer took several applications and is more noticeable but you have to be on your hands and knees to see it so it's not as big of a deal as it would be on a door or hood for example.
