Illuminated door lock switch question

I just noticed last night, that the LOCK symbol is illuminated on my door, but the unlock side of it isnt - I could have SWORN both were illuminated when I got it, can someone confirm?

No, only the one side is illuminated on mine. You can actually see it in the daytime with the lights off as well, one side looks slightly different.

Nop, that's how mine is too. It's been weirding me out ever since I noticed it.
