Default BlueBat's tail light overlays install problems???

So I took the overlays to a professional tint shop because I have no experience working with vinyl film or tint or anything like that. After assuring me they could do it, it turns out once they had them laid out they couldn't get them to lay down without bubbling and crinkling. They fed me some bull**** about how they were too big and no one could get them to fit. Is the guy at the tint shop just a big idiot and has no skill at all? The whole reason I took it to a shop is because I didn't wanna mess them up... obviously some people have had success with the exact same overlays. So needless to say I'm pissed off and am just looking to see if anyone else that has used these overlays had any problems or if the the tint place I took my Z to is full of a bunch of 5th grade drop outs. Thanks for the piece of mind guys.

Same thing happened to me, they couldn't get them to wrap around. Regardless of the amount of heat applied it would still not lay flat..but considering others have done it, I think we chose a bad shop

Ya I watched them try to do it, they kept telling me they were too big or something. If anyone that has had success in installing these overlays, your input would really be appreciated. Especially if you are around the Dallas area and you found a shop that knows what they are doing.

I have an authorized installer in Dallas! pm me for contact. Guys, My installers have installerd countless 370z overlays with no issues. Many times these shops will brag about 20 years experience in window tint, but tint is different than Vinyl!

the main part that was giving them the most trouble was when the light makes that concave turn on the outside of the car and down at the bottom on the rear. I was watching them and it was giving them hell. The overlay was trash after about 10 minutes of them messing with it.

^^ Same here, I just got one left, so I might have as well have nothing at all lol. They used a heat gun and the stuff got all soft and flexible but it just would not wrap around.

I went through 2 sets of taillight tint, & bluebat did not give me any free tint. I'm def pissed and at $40 a set, I rather not buy it again. The 370z has the hardest taillights of any car made to tint, I can tell you that for sure.

Wait, I'm supposed to give you a free set if you or the installer messed up? I'll offer you a good discount on a new set or if you just need one piece, I'll do that too. I do my best to make my customers happy. Sorry you arent. Maybe I was slow to respond, or not respond at all, please email me and let me know. I'll see what I can do.

btw-the most complex overlay to put on are the altimas.

I def agree with andy. I had an altima myself and that is much harder than ours.
