I'm also using the fluid that came with the car(I bought it brand new). Maybe the nissan fluid isn't good in the winter?

is your nozzle clogged by any chance (mis placed wax or salt or something)? try a paper clip or something and see if that helps.
i found that sometimes if you dont use your washer for a long time it clogs. |

Mine has done that since I got the car (it had 104 miles on it) they washer works very poorly since the fluid doesn't cover the windshield but the dealership says it's normal.
I take it by your post yours must have worked differently at some point though? It sounds like maybe it did get clogged or something I guess, but whatever it is once you get it working again make sure you post it here. I'll be very interested to hear the solution.

I hope I don't have to again. I went under bridge in Atlanta a week after the snow and ice here and all this nasty brown sludge fell on it. I like spritzing on others.LOL

Usually if the washer fluid just dribbles out, you're pinching a soft line somewhere. If both sides are just dribbling, follow the soft lines down from the hood. Make sure they aren't trapped between anything. If they spray with the hood open (be careful because I don't know what kind of wiper to hood clearance this car has with the hood up) then the line is being pinched once the hood closes. If you get noise but no water, probably have a clog somewhere. See if you leave a puddle under the car indicating a line popped off.
Have fun.

I've got the same "problem" on my roadster but I've learned to live with it. What I do is spray when the wipers are at the base of the windshield so that when they sweep they spread the windshield fluid. It works fine like that, you should try it.

hey guys mine works now! I was like let's see who wins and waited like 2 min straight pulling wiper switch bar and it started to spray! miracle!! I think my wipers were pacing like about 30 times til it worked lol so who ever's not working try to wait about 2 min it might work. I guess I haven't used it for about a year so the tube was completely empty so maybe it took some time fluid to reach the end through the tube. good luck guys!

If you're looking for a decent Nissan dealership to do warranty work, take it to Hilltop Nissan in East Hanover. About 30 min from you. Most other Nissan dealers suck a$$ They're the only decent place that usually gets the job done. |
